- The ECOPLANTMED project invites you to the International Conference with the theme “Ecological Restoration in the Mediterranean region: Challenges and Opportunities”, hosted by the project partner Saint Joseph University (USJ) in Beirut, Lebanon on 15 and 16 October 2015. The conference focuses on ecological restoration of Mediterranean type habitats and intends to highlight the importance of using native plants for restoration.
It will address issues such as
- cases of restoration of Mediterranean habitat types
- criteria to select species for restoration purposes
- importance of the seed banks in conservation of plants for restoration
- genetic quality of plants
- morpho-physiological quality of plants.
